Yesterday (24th August 2013), we went on a day trip to Monkey World. Its an Ape Rescue centre not to far from here .. takes roughly half an hour to get there from home.
I have been before as a child .. I think I was about 10/11 at the time, so a fair few years ago now. Have been wanting to take the kids for a while now. So we decided to go and we also invited Chloe's friend Isobel and her family along to join us.
We had really lovely day and there was a lot of different monkey's to see. All of the kids enjoyed it and it was lovely for Chloe and Isobel to see each other before school starts in September!
We spent around 5 hours at Monkey World and it was just nice to amble around, watch the different monkey's for a little while and let the kids play in the various play parks we came across.
The only nuisance of the day was the amount of wasps buzzing around!

So many different types of monkey's to look at, it was really good and had changed a fair bit form the time I went as a child. Lovely day out and was very enjoyable all round!
